- Arbitrage
- Placing bets on all possible outcomes of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to each team to eliminate the draw option, using whole or half goal increments.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for placing bets.
- Bonus
- Extra funds added to your account by a sportsbook, usually tied to deposit or wagering requirements.
- Both Teams to Score
- A bet on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Correct Score
- A bet that requires you to predict the exact final score of a match.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (win, draw, or loss) in a single wager.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet where you pick a team to win; if the match ends in a draw, your stake is refunded.
- Expected Value
- The average amount you can expect to win or lose per bet if you repeat the same bet many times.
- First Goalscorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in a match.
- Free Bet
- A promotional bet credited to your account that you can use to place a wager without using your own money.
- Handicapper
- A person who analyzes games and creates betting lines or recommendations.
- Limit
- The maximum amount a bookmaker will accept on a particular bet or market.
- Line Movement
- The change in odds or point spreads over time, often caused by betting volume or new information.
- Live Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Moneyline
- A straight bet on which team will win the match, with odds that reflect each team's chance of winning.
- Odds
- A number that tells you how much money you can win if your bet is correct, compared to how much you stake.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals scored in a match will be higher or lower than a set number.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links two or more selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Spread
- A points adjustment used to make a matchup more even for betting purposes, often shown as a line like +1.5 or -1.5.
- Staking Plan
- A method for deciding how much to wager on each bet, often based on a percentage of your bankroll.
- Unit
- A standard amount of money used to measure the size of a bet, usually a fraction of your bankroll.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving an expected edge.
- Vig
- The commission charged by a bookmaker for taking a bet, usually built into the odds.
